Bostik Powermastik is a non-drying, oil-based mastic that provides a flexible and waterproof seal for various applications in construction. It forms a self-healing skin on the surface and remains permanently flexible to accommodate structural or thermal movement on the surface. The mastic has excellent adhesion to most construction materials, including PVC, polycarbonate, fiberglass, aluminum, steel, galvanized iron, tin plate, brick, natural stone, glass, painted and varnished surfaces, ceramic tiles, sand cement screeds, concrete, plaster, and timber Bostik Powermastik is suitable for sealing PVC, galvanized iron, and aluminum gutter sections and downpipes, overlap joints of roofing sections, air conditioning ducting joints and seams, windows and door frames, roof bolts, and placing window sills, frames, and other fittings where a waterproof seal is needed. However, it is not recommended for floor joints or bituminous surfaces, high movement joints, or continuous immersion in water. It is also not suitable as an adhesive to bond two surfaces together, and application onto porous surfaces may reduce the longevity of the product due to absorption of the oils into the surface.
